Yemi Alade Delighted To Have Won At Headies

“I finally have a
Headies award. It’s time, it’s high time I had a Nigerian award in my house,” she said to Hip TV.
On whether her new success would see her relax a bit, she said: “No, the grind is different. If before the grind was on the street, the grind is in the sky [now]. Imagine walking against gravity and everything against you. It’s different, it’s deep.”
Yemi Alade is set to release her sophomore album next month, titled Mama Africa.
